Who conducts the dance education classes?
All classes are led by certified, highly trained instructors from Shiamak Davar’s Institute for Performing Arts, ensuring safety, technical accuracy, and encouraging pedagogical guidance.
What does a typical SDE class include?
Sessions include DanceAcise warm-ups, floor exercises for flexibility and conditioning, passes and movement study, choreography across age-appropriate styles, creative movement and prop improvisation, project work, and cool down.
What dance styles are taught at each level?
The curriculum is age and standard wise — from Pre-Primary (Dance for Kids, Jazz Funk, Disco) through Primary (Theatre Jazz, Latin Fusion) to Secondary (Contemporary, Hiphop, House, Locking, and more).
How does SDE extend beyond the classroom?
Schools integrate SDE through Sports Day drills, Annual Day productions, inter-school competitions, and special day celebrations — giving students regular stage exposure.
Is there a pathway to professional training?
Yes. Exceptional students may be selected for the Special Potential Batch (SPB) and can progress toward OYP and company performance opportunities.
